Looking at the future
Hi everyone, these days I thought about what to do as soon as we are able to leave the house without too many restrictions.
My first thought was to return back to give a huge hug to my family, since this quarantine locked me far away from them.
The second thought was to take a tour around my Apulian region (Puglia), starting from our trullo, to reopen the doors and take care of the garden, passing by Francavilla Fontana and then going to Ceglie Messapica. We continue towards Martina Franca, where to do some food shopping to buy the famous "capocollo", a nice coffee sitting in the central plaza and the go to Alberobello .... how beautiful! A nice walk through the alleys of the Trulli city and finally eat a nice lunch in the shadow of one of the beautiful historic trulli present there. Going back home, we stop at Locorotondo, and then Cisternino where we can buy some Apulian "bombette" meat for the next BBQ.
We could not miss Ostuni, our white city ... a nice walk in the historic center reaching the top where is the historical cathedral; looking at the large rose window is always beautiful, while eating an ice cream under the arch.
The roads from one borough to another are surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, red land, hills and vineyards .... it is an indistinguishable scent of Puglia, the real one ... a gentle and suggestive ups and downs among these hills of the Valle d'Itria.
As a lover of Brindisi city.... I can't miss the colorful sunset over our beautiful naural port.
And you? What are you going to do just outside the quarantine?
